Easy steps to follow to get started…

1. Define for yourself the beliefs you hold, what you want to accomplish and why.
2. Do your research. There are many different certifying bodies out there. You want to choose the agency that best matches your philosophies and that you feel most comfortable with. Remember…each site should have a list of studios that they have certified. Take the time to meet with the instructors in your area.
3. Keep in mind that Pilates certification is a lengthy process so take one step at a time. Know what the first step is, what the cost is, the time commitment, and what you receive at the end of it. Sign up!! Once you have found what you are looking for, don’t wait!
4. In your own time, follow the path that the agency has laid out for you. Take the time to develop contacts, a support system, and stay in touch with the instructors you chatted with initially. You will learn from them and they may become an important person in your journey.

As you go through the process, take as many different classes as you can. Visit different studios, enjoy different instructors, and take the time to integrate what you learn into your body.
